Description

The project is being developed by Chaleun Sekong Energy, Construction JSC 47, Electricite du Laos, Kobe Green Power, Namphak Power and Song Da 5. Chaleun Sekong Energy, Electricite du Laos and Kobe Green Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70%, 15% and 15% respectively.

Nam Phak is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 10.6 million cubic meter. The net head of the project will be 652.1m. The project is expected to generate 586 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 1 unit of francis turbine.

The hydro power project consists of 2 units of pelton turbines.

The project has 2 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricite Du Cambodge under a power purchase agreement.
