Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by China Machinery Engineering, General Electric Technology and Solgenics. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 40%, 30% and 30% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant that will be used for Baseload. The fuel will be procured from Ncondezi Mine.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricidade De Mozambique EP under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 300MW.
