Description

The project is being developed by Nenskra Hydro and is currently owned by Korea Water Resources with a stake of 91.9%.

Nenskra is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 182 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 725m and 679m respectively. The penstock length will be 1,790m. The project is expected to generate 1,219 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 93.33MW nameplate capacity.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricity System Commercial Operator under a power purchase agreement for a period of 36 years.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Limak Holding and Webuild are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the hydro power project.
