The project is being developed by Alten Energias Renovables, Electricidade de Mocambique EP and Niassa Energia Solar. Electricidade de Mocambique EP and Alten Energias Renovables are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 85% and 15% respectively.

The project is expected to generate 79,602MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 166,000 households.

The solar power project consists of 117,180 modules, each with 330W nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricidade de Mocambique EP under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
