Description

The project is being developed by Abu Dhabi Future Energy, EDF Renewables and Green Of Africa. EDF Renewables, Abu Dhabi Future Energy, Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy and Green Of Africa are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35%, 30%, 25% and 10% respectively.

Noor Midelt Solar PV Park 2 is a ground-mounted solar project.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 760,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.07kWh for a period of 25 years. The capacity to be procured is 210MW.

Contractors involved

TSK Electronica y Electricidad is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Abu Dhabi Future Energy, EDF Renewables and Green Of Africa are expected to be contracted for rendering of operations & maintenance services for the project.
