Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by NTPC. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant will run on Pithead. The fuel will be procured from Magadh Block.

North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant (North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant Unit III) will be equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals steam turbines.

Siemens Energy is expected to be the supplier of SGen5-3000W electric generator for the North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant (North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant Unit I).

Bharat Heavy Electricals is expected to be the supplier of electric generator for the North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant (North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant Unit II).

Bharat Heavy Electricals is expected to be the supplier of electric generator for the North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant (North Karanpura Coal Based Power Plant Unit III).

Bharat Heavy Electricals is likely to be the supplier of steam boiler for the project.
