NREA Zaafarana Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 247.1 acres.
The project is expected to generate 90,000MWh electricity to offset 50,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Egyptian Electricity Transmission under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
