The project was developed by ecoEnergias del Guadiana and Iberdrola. The project is currently owned by Iberdrola with a stake of 100%.

Nunez de Balboa Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,000 hectares.

The project generates 832GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 250,000 households, offsetting 215,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Euskaltel and Kutxabank are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Eiffage Energia S L U was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by GCL System Integration Technology and Wuxi Suntech Power.

Power Electronics Espana supplied 115 of its HEC V1500 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising trackers supplied by Gonvarri Steel Services.
