Description
The project is developed and owned by General Electricity Company Of Libya. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is crude oil. In case of shortage of crude oil the plant can also run on Gas. The fuel is procured from Fezzan Oil Field.

The project got commissioned in July 2019.
Contractors involved
Enka Teknik was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the dual-fuel fired power project.
Siemens Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 4 units of SGT5-2000E gas turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Energy supplied SGen5-100A electric generator for the project.
