Description
The project is being developed by Omaezakikou Biomass Energy GK. Renova, Chubu Electric Power, Mitsubishi Electric and Suzuyo Shoji are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 38%, 34%, 18% and 10% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 553.3GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 170,000 households.
Agricultural by-product and wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Nippon Steel Engineering and Toyo Engineering are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.
Siemens Energy will be the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company is expected to provide 1 unit of Reheat steam turbine turbine with 74.95MW nameplate capacity.
Andritz is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 200TPH.
