The project is developed and owned by NamPower.
Omburu Solar PV Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 40 hectares.
The project generates 67,800MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 16,000 households. The project cost is $35m.
The project consists of 33,000 modules.
100 inverters have been installed at the project site.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2022.
Contractors involved
Hopsol Africa and Tulive Private Equity were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
