Description
The project was developed by Planta Solar Opde 6 and is currently owned by Otras Producciones de Energia Fotovoltaica with a stake of 100%.
OPDE Montesol Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 94 hectares.
The project generates 90GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 25,000 households, offsetting 39,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $63.721m.
Development status
The project got commissioned in December 2020.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Centrica under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 40MW.
Contractors involved
Risen Energy was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 135,128 modules at the site.
Gamesa Electric supplied its GAMESA E - 2.5MVA-SB-I inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by PV Hardware Solutions.
