Description
The project was developed by Origin Wind Energy. Gulf Plains Wind and Enel Green Power North America are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 650,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 700,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $250m.
Development status
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in November 2014.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Arkansas Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 150MW.
Contractors involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 75 units of V100-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 3 years.
