Orlik is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 720 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 70.5m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 4 in number. The penstock diameter is 6.25m. Orlik underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2002-2004.
