The project was developed by Miyagi Osato Solar Park GK. Tohoku Electric Power, Total Solar International and Terras Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45%, 45% and 10% respectively.

Osato Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 694,000 square meters.

The project generates 56,400MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,600 households.

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2021.

Contractors involved

SunPower was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 116,000 modules at the site.
