Description
The project is being developed by Ossian Offshore Wind Farm. SSE Renewables, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners KS and Marubeni are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 30% and 30% respectively.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 6,000,000 households, to offset 7,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project will be spread over an area of 858km². The turbines will be mounted on floating type foundations.
The wind power project consists of 270 turbines.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
