Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power. Enel Green Power, Royal Bafokeng Holdings Pty and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 30% and 10% respectively.
Paleisheuwel Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 240 hectares.
The project generates 153GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 48,000 households, offsetting 140,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2014 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in May 2016.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 82.5MW.
