Description

The project was developed by Abengoa, Enercon, Seg Ingenieria and Teyma Uruguay. The project is currently owned by DIF Management with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 300GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 150,000 households, offsetting 140,289t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in April 2014.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Administracion Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 100MW.

Contractors involved

Abengoa and Teyma Uruguay were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Enercon was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 50 units of E-92 / 2,350 kW turbines, each with 2.35MW nameplate capacity.

Enercon is the O&M contractor for the Peralta (Peralta Phase II) for a period of 15 years.
