Description

The project was developed by GCL New Energy, Pioneer Solar and Solar Frontier Americas. The project is currently owned by Solar Frontier Americas with a stake of 100%.

Pioneer Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 611 acres.

The project generates 215,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 26,000 households.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to CORE Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement from 2021. The contracted capacity is 80MW.

Contractors involved

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems supplied 32 of its PVH-L2500GR inverters to the project site.
