Prairie Sunlight II Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 160 acres.
The project generates 50,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 6,000 households, offsetting 29,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in July 2020.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Direct Energy Marketing under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 25MW.

BELECTRIC was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 79,196 modules each with 380W of nameplate capacity.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.
BELECTRIC is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
