Description

The project was developed by Northland Power and Typhoon Offshore. Northland Power, Siemens Financial Services and HVCenergie are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 20% and 10% respectively.

The wind turbines in the Project Gemini Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the Project Gemini Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 2,600,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 785,000 households, offsetting 1,250,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 88.5m high towers.

HVCenergie and Pzem are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 150 units of SWT-4.0-130 turbines, each with 4MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 20 years.
