Description
The project is being developed by Proton Energy and Siemens Energy. The project is currently owned by Proton Energy with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Seplat Petroleum Development Company.
The project will emit 734,042t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
