Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Punjab Thermal Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be regasified liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of regasified liquefied natural gas the plant will run on High Speed Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.

Punjab Combined Cycle Power Plant (Punjab Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) will be equipped with Siemens Energy SGT5-8000H gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine.

Punjab Combined Cycle Power Plant (Punjab Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit III) will be equipped with Siemens Energy SST-5000 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine.

Siemens Energy is expected to be the supplier of SGEN5-2000H electric generator for the project.

Siemens Energy is expected to be the supplier of SGEN5-3000W electric generator for the project.

Siemens Energy is likely to be the supplier of steam boiler for the project.

China Machinery Engineering and Siemens Energy are expected to be contracted for rendering of operations & maintenance services for the project.
