Description

The project was developed by Radiant Energy. Cedate, Frontier Investment Management, Interpro International, Paramount Bank and Selenkei Investment are currently owning the project.

Radiant Project Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 301 acres.

The project generates 74,968,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 53,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in August 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Kenya Power and Lighting under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.12kWh.

Contractors involved

Grupotec Servicios Avanzados was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 140,800 modules at the site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Trina Solar.
