Description
The project is being developed by Rampion Extension Development. RWE Renewables UK, Green Investment Group and Enbridge are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.1%, 25% and 24.9% respectively.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households, to offset 1,800,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project will be spread over an area of 315km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed type foundations.
The wind power project consists of 116 turbines.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
