Description
The project was developed by RES America Developments and Southern Power. The project is currently owned by Southern Power with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 760,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 60,000 households, offsetting 512,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The Reading Wind Facility (Reading Wind Facility-I), has 101.5m high towers.
The Reading Wind Facility (Reading Wind Facility-II), has 80m high towers.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Royal Caribbean Cruises under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years.

Reading Wind Facility (Reading Wind Facility-I) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SG 3.4-132 turbines. The phase consists of 48 turbines with 3.465MW nameplate capacity.
Reading Wind Facility (Reading Wind Facility-II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-2.3-108 turbines. The phase consists of 14 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Southern Power were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
