Description

The project was developed by nv Rentel. The project is co-owned by Aspiravi, DEME, Electrawinds, Nutsbedrijven Houdstermaatschappij, Power@Sea, Rent-A-Port, Societe Regionale d'Investissement de Wallonie and SOCOFE, with their respective ownership stake of 12.5% each.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 1,100,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 300,000 households, offsetting 440,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 87m high towers.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2017 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Lampiris under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 308.7MW.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 42 units of SWT-7.0-154 turbines, each with 7.35MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 17 years.
