The project was developed by Logos Engenharia and Orteng Equipamentos e Sistemas. Cemig Geracao e Transmissao, Furnas Centrais Eletricas and Orteng Equipamentos e Sistemas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49.9%, 49% and 1.1% respectively.

The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number.
