The project is currently owned by Electrabel with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 1,100GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 320,000 households, offsetting 1.2t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood pellets which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
