Description

Romania NuScale SMR 2 is a Generation III+ nuclear reactor being developed by RoPower Nuclear, the main contractor for the project.

The project is co-owned by Nova Power & Gas and Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Romania NuScale SMR 2 is a type of iPWR reactor. It will feature 37 fuel assemblies in the core of reactor, the place where fission occurs and energy is released.
