INOVYN ChlorVinyls, John Laing Group, Valencia Waste Management and Viridor EFW (Runcorn) are currently owning the project.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Keppel Seghers Belgium supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 100TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 400°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 52bar.
