Sakuto Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 400 hectares.
The project generates 290,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 81,000 households, offsetting 200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in December 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to The Chugoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.281kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 150MW.
Contractors involved
JGC Holdings was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company supplied modules with rated capacity of 340W.
The inverters were procured from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems (China) for the project.
Asahi Dengyo e.c.co is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
