Description

The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.

The project generates 430GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 85,500 households, offsetting 236,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-I), has 112m high towers.

The Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-II), has 112m high towers.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in May 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-I) is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2019.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 30 units of V136-3.45MW turbines, each with 3.45MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-I), commencing from the year 2019.
