Description
The project was developed by Acciona Energia Chile and Consorcio Eolico San Gabriel. The project is currently owned by Acciona Energia Chile with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 660GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 270,000 households, offsetting 517,363t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $300m.
The Concrete towers installed at the project site are 120m high.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Aguas Chanar under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors involved
Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 61 units of AW 132/3000 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
