Description
The project was developed by JinkoSolar Holding and is currently owned by White River Renewables with a stake of 100%.
San Ignacio Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 66 hectares.
The project generates 48,748MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 25,691t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $31m.
Development status
The project got commissioned in May 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2019.
Contractors involved
Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 69,120 modules at the site.
Huawei Technologies supplied 330 of its Huawei inverters to the project site.
