Description
The project is currently owned by Acciona Energia.
The project generates 200GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 60,000 households, offsetting 200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Corn straw which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Abener Energia was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.
GE Power was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 turbine with 25MW nameplate capacity.
FLS miljo supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 103.5TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 540Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 90bar.
Acciona Energia is the O&M contractor for the project.
