Description

The project was developed by Seagreen Wind Energy. TotalEnergies and SSE Renewables are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The wind turbines in the Seagreen 1 Offshore Wind Farm Project Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of suction bucket jacket foundations feature in the phase.

The wind turbines in the Seagreen 1 Offshore Wind Farm Project Phase II are installed on fixed foundations. An array of suction bucket jacket foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 5,000,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households, offsetting 1,600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Statkraft UK under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 570MW.

Contractors involved

Vestas Offshore Wind was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 114 units of V164-10.0 MW turbines, each with 10MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
