Description
The project was developed by Guodian Dadu River Hydropower Development. GD Power Development, China Energy Investment and Sichuan Chuantou Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 69%, 21% and 10% respectively.
Shenxigou is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 32 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 98.8m. The project generated 2,278 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 2006 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2010.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors involved
Zhefu Holding Group was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 165MW nameplate capacity.
Toshiba Hydro Power(Hangzhou)Co supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 160 MVA.
