Description

The project is developed and owned by Kerala State Electricity Board.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 153.48 million cubic meter. Sholayar HEP (Sholayar HEP-Rehabilitated Unit III) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2019. The project generated 233 GWh of electricity.

Contractors involved

Litostroj Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The project consists of 3 units of Francis turbines, each with 19.8 nameplate capacity.

The electric generators for the project were procured from Koncar Generators and Motors.
