Description

Hubei Provincial Water Resources Bureau and Hunan Provincial Water Resources Bureau are currently owning the project.

Shuangpai is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 690 million cubic meter. Shuangpai underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1979, 2010-2013. The project generated 585 GWh of electricity.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 1958 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1963.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by DEC Dongfang Electric Machinery and Harbin Electric Machinery.
