Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Siddiqsons Energy. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be lignite. In case of shortage of lignite the plant will run on Light Diesel Oil. The fuel will be procured from Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company.

The project cost is expected to be around $410.19m.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in July 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to National Transmission & Despatch under a power purchase agreement for a period of 30 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 330MW.

Contractors involved

China Energy Engineering and Jiangsu Power Design Institute are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
