Softbank Hamamatsu Chukai Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 53.1 hectares.

The project generates 53,924MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 14,979 households.

The power generated from the project is sold to Chubu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Toshiba was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 170,000 modules each with 260W of nameplate capacity.

The inverters were procured from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems for the project.

The mounting systems have been supplied by Nippon Steel for the project.
