The project is being developed by Akershus Energi and RWE. Akershus Energi, Cloudberry Clean Energy and KLP Norfund Investments are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 33.4%, 33.4% and 33.2% respectively.

The project is expected to generate 525,000MWh of electricity.

The project will have 144m high towers.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Songkjolen and Engerfjellet Wind Farm (Songkjolen and Engerfjellet Wind Farm- Phase I) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 33 turbines, each with 4.8MW nameplate capacity.
