Description

The project is currently owned by EDP Espana SAU with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is subbituminous. In case of shortage of subbituminous the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Aller and Nalon coal fields.

The project generated 1,315,000MWh of electricity.

Soto de Ribera Power Station (Soto de Ribera Power Station (Grupo-2) Unit I) is equipped with GE Power Two Cylinder Tandem Condensation Turbine with Reheating steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 254MW nameplate capacity.

Soto de Ribera Power Station (Soto de Ribera Power Station (Grupo-3) Unit II) is equipped with Siemens Energy Two Cylinder Tandem Condensation Turbine with Reheating steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 361MW nameplate capacity.
