Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables. BlackRock, Eurus Energy America and EDF Renewables are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 231,376t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Evergy Metro under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2012.

Contractors involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 63 units of 1.6-82.5 turbines, each with 1.6MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewables is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2012.
