The project was developed by Hanwha Solutions and SunEdison.

Strasskirchen Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 136 hectares.

The project generates 57,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 17,000 households, offsetting 35,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project got commissioned in December 2009.

Contractors involved

Hanwha Q Cells was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 225,000 modules at the site.

The mounting systems have been supplied by Krinner for the project.

Nordcapital is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
