Description
Tenaga Nasional and Malakoff are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Natural Gas. The fuel is procured from TFS Coal, TNB Natural Gas.
Development status
The project construction commenced in 1995 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in April 2001.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
