Description

The project was developed by ConnectGen, EDP Renewables North America and First Solar. The project is co-owned by EDP Renewables North America and Potentia Renewables, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Sunshine Valley Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 745 acres.

The project generates 302,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 23,000 households, offsetting 178,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Southern California Edison under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2019. The contracted capacity is 103.5MW.

Contractors involved

First Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.

Power Electronics supplied 32 of its HEM FS3350M inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

First Solar is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
