Description

The project was developed by Guizhou Wujiang Hydropower Development. China Huadian and Guizhou Provincial Government are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Suofengying is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 201.2 million cubic meter. The project generated 2,011 GWh of electricity.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

ALSTOM Hydro China was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.

Harbin Electric Machinery supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 200 MVA.
