Description
The project is being developed by Energie Electrique de Tahaddart. Office National de l'Electricite et de l'Eau Potable, Endesa Generacion and Siemens Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 48%, 32% and 20% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Maghreb Europe pipeline.
The project will generate 2,504,360MWh of electricity.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in January 2005.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Tahaddart Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tahaddart Combined Cycle Power Plant Phase I) will be sold to Office National de l'Electricite et de l'Eau Potable under a power purchase agreement.
The power generated from the Tahaddart Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tahaddart Combined Cycle Power Plant Phase II) will be sold to Office National de l'Electricite et de l'Eau Potable under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.
